We woke up to 2 emails from 2 different girls concerning one issue of First Kiss.
Is it so weird it’s got to be true, or has Trader Joes devised some sort of genius viral marketing ploy?
You decide!

Email 1, to the FirstKissZine gmail acct, from Melanie:
“…I happen to shop regularly at Trader Joe’s. I was at the check out last week and saw you’re zine on the cashier’s work space. The TJs employees are always up for a chat and I saw the intriguing title of the little book and asked the cashier what she was reading. “Oh, some girl left this here. I think she was an actress or something… said she was heading up to 42nd street” she said. She asked me if I wanted it but I told her I couldn’t take it because the girl might come back for it. When I got home I unpacked brussel sprouts, kidney beans, butternut squash, and “First Kiss.” The cashier slipped it into my bag anyway. Lucky me! This little book has brought me laughs and smiles on the subway and I force my friends to listen while I read it aloud for adult storytime. What a great concept. I’m so glad I found it/it found me.”
Email 2, to the White Lightning blog email acct, from Broek:
“I’m a fan and attended the First Kiss reading the other night (loved it, your wedges were great too) and bought the zine. However, somehow on the subway/ at Trader Joes/no idea where, I lost my copy. (Yes, I called Trader Joes lost & found and no, they didn’t find it.)”

Can this be real?!?!
How INSANE!
LESSON LEARNED: Trader Joes lost & found kinda blows?
